Job hunting? Tax deductions you should know about
If you are looking for a new job, you may be able to deduct some of your job-search expenses on your tax return. One key thing to know is that you must be seeking a job in your current occupation. The deductions do not apply if you are looking for a new career. (9/1/2010)

First-time homebuyer credit extended
On July 2, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Homebuyer Assistance Improvement Act of 2010, which provides first-time home buyer credit relief to taxpayers who couldn't meet the June 30, 2010 closing date. This extension is intended to provide tax relief for those taxpayers who couldn't close on time because of backlogs at banks and federal programs involved in home buyer loans. (8/1/2010)
