Don’t let political activity derail your tax-exempt status
With 2008 well under way, our attention is increasingly directed to the looming presidential election. For many nonprofit organizations, the outcome of the election is critical. That’s why some are tempted to get involved by running media campaigns and endorsing candidates. But be careful that your agency’s activities do not cross the line into prohibited activities.
